Purple Prose and Poetry Contest Submissions

To celebrate the eclipse, National Reading Month (March) and the start of National Poetry Month (April), the J.G. McCullough Free Library presents: Purple Prose & Poetry Contest. Now through April 8th. Open to school-age students through 12th grade. One rule: Your piece must contain the word PURPLE. Please send all questions, and entries with title, full name and grade, to McculloughYouthServices@Gmail.Com. PRIZES: 1st: Plum purple 40 oz Stanley cup and Prospect Coffee gift card. 2nd: Perfectly black 30 oz Stanley cup and $15 Powers gift card. Special prize, K-3rd grade category: 20 oz periwinkle blue/pear green Stanley cup and $20 Powers gift card. PLUS some perfect, petit, mostly prandial bonus prizes for each winner.
